Professional Experience 

     MORNING METEOROLOGIST

     KTUL, Channel 8, Tulsa, OK

     June 2018 – Present

• Interpret and analyze current and future surface and atmospheric conditions using various numerical weather prediction models, satellite and radar data in order to prepare forecasts.

• Create, produce and deliver weather forecasts on-air for two and a half hour local weekday morning broadcast.

• Co-anchor Good Day Tulsa; reading teases, stories and conducting live interviews.

• Delivered breaking and continuous live coverage and storm tracking during severe weather events. Occasional tag-team coverage with fellow meteorologist for live severe events; tracking storms and providing the latest information. Also continuous update social media.

• Worked closely with the weather department to alleviate computer issues, improve community outreach, and brainstorm new ways to distribute our product.

     WEEKEND MORNING METEOROLOGIST

     WLUK, Fox 11, Green Bay, WI

     May 2015 – May 2018

• Report live from our mobile Storm Chaser vehicle during significant weather related events. Give live reports from the vehicle on road conditions, weather conditions and the aftermath of storms.

• Conduct live interviews in the field on meteorological/climatological related topics from various locations.

• Occasionally acted as the live reporter from breaking news scenes.

• Weekday morning and evening fill-in.

• Produce :30 second Videolicious segments for Facebook previewing upcoming segments.

• Updated forecasts for multiple social platforms daily, including station website, Facebook fan pages & twitter accounts.

• Produce & record weather updates for local radio stations on a daily basis.

• Produce & record weather updates for our CW affiliate on a daily basis.

• Aid in creating, implementing and updating the Fox 11 Severe Weather Policy

• Participate in multiple station sponsored events and programs. School visits, FOX 11 weather day, food drives, career days, etc.

     August 2011 – April 2015

• Evening weather fill-in for the 5, 6 and 10 pm shows. Also recorded weather segments for the local Fox affiliate’s 9 pm show.

• Utilized Weather Central/WSI software/products daily to produce forecasts.

• Conducted several live interviews including ‘In the kitchen segments’ as well as live, on scene interviews at a local giving drive.

• Responsible for teaching weather fill-ins the ropes of weather and WSI.

• Involved in numerous local community outreach programs on behalf of the station including mentoring programs, public appearances, volunteer opportunities and school visits.

     June 2011 – August 2011

• Covered duel markets, prepared and delivered forecasts for both Springfield & sister station in Champaign.

• Recorded forecasts for the local Fox affiliate, the CW and local radio stations.

• Served as the fill-in meteorologist for both morning and evening newscasts when needed.

• Called local radio stations during morning fill-ins for live chat/weather update.

• Help implement the Junior Met. program where students interested in a meteorology career participated in our shows.

• Delivered morning traffic reports, providing viewers with incident information, traffic light defects, road closures & other driving hazards.
